Who am I
Who am I
I am deeply passionate about my profession. Every child and family that comes into my care represents an opportunity to provide support grounded in respect, empathy, love, experience, and knowledge, creating a safe, warm, and professional space where each child can thrive and every family feels supported at every step of the journey.
Experiences
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, into a family where love and unity always came first. From a very young age, I knew that my path would be dedicated to serving and promoting the well-being of others, with a clear vision of becoming a healthcare professional. During my adolescence, my family and I faced a challenging period due to my mother’s illness, which profoundly changed our lives. This early exposure to the world of rehabilitation deeply shaped my essence, awakening in me a unique sensitivity and a human, empathetic understanding of what it truly means to support someone through a recovery process. That experience strengthened my desire to pursue a profession that combines knowledge, empathy, and guidance.
Vocational training
I trained as an Occupational Therapist, graduating from the Colegio Universitario de Rehabilitación “May Hamilton” in 2001. I spent the first three years of my professional career at the Hospital Ortopédico Infantil, one of Latin America’s leading centers, working with children presenting a wide range of developmental conditions. I then continued for fifteen years at the Centro Nacional de Rehabilitación, Venezuela’s largest rehabilitation center, where I deepened my expertise in multiple areas of intervention, teaching, research, and personnel management, expanding and enriching my clinical and professional experience.
In 2017, I emigrated to the United States, where I earned my certification in Infant Massage. I currently work as a Child Development Specialist for the federal Early Stepswhile also offering infant massage services under my personal brand.
Throughout my career, I have maintained a strong commitment to continuous learning, studying human development across all areas and obtaining certifications, trainings, and recognitions. My most recent credential is the Infant Mental Health Endorsement awarded by the Florida Association for Infant Mental Healtha certification that reflects my dedication to sensitive, comprehensive, evidence-based support and up-to-date knowledge.
